Details: Luxury resort project located in Ouray Mountains between Montrose and Telluride, CO. Project was started with “proto-type” guest cottage in 2001 and work suspended for 24 months after 9/11.
After work was resumed Stratford initially fabricated and delivered seven, suite buildings totaling 21 high end lodging rooms which featured wood plank ceilings, windows, doors, and trim made of select fir. Bath rooms were upscale with marble tub & shower surrounds, along with factory installed slate floor. Each building has a factory installed hot water heating system with boiler and thermostatically controlled zone valve system for individual room preference. Exterior appearance of all buildings in project is consistent having log appearance siding, fir trim and standing seam metal roofing.
Guest cottages are two story structures constructed with 8 modules. Features incorporated into cottages cover 26’ high ceiling in living area, 3 bedrooms each with bath, fireplace, and kitchenette area. Finishes and heating system discussed in suites carried over into cottage scope of work.
Ancillary buildings for a fitness center and administrative/housekeeping operations were also constructed by Stratford.
